YEWUN BEADED PURSE- INTRODUCTION

Yewun purse is a handy purse you can use anywhere. A favorite design for kids . You can choose to use size 6mm or 8mm beads. It can be beaded using single colour of bead or combining various colours for an exciting effect. For this project we will combine colours and use size 8mm beads.

This purse is beaded in two parts and then joined together. The average size of the completed beaded bag before the addition of lining, zipper and handle is: Height 8 1/2inches (22cm), width of base is 8inches (20cm), and length is 10inches (25cm).

Note:

You will need to be adding fishing line as your work progresses. Always tie with a neat knot and weave the rest into your work.

We will refer to the four colours of beads as (A), (B), (C), and (D). You will need to use both hands. The fishing line on your right hand will be regarded as RH while the left will be LH.

COMMENT

This pattern can be made into a smaller size by reducing the number of circles or bigger by increasing the number of circles. Using a smaller size of beads will result in a smaller purse.   Combination of different colours of bead will give you unique designs.

Try various combos to get your own special design. In place of the beaded strap you can buy bag chain chain handle for beaded purseor ready made purse handles or even leave out the strap entirely.
