*4 colours of size 2 Sand beads- One eight of a pack of colour A which is the main colour and less than that for colour B, colour C and colour D * Fishing line- Size 0.30mm *Scissors or cutter *Plier * Beading Needle

BEADED TULIP FLOWER: INTRODUCTION

We will refer to the beads as (A), (B) (C) and (D).

START

Cut about 40 inches length of fishing line and thread your needle.

BEADED TULIP FLOWER: ROW 1

• ► Pick 6A and tie fishing line to form a ring. Pass needle to the next bead after the knot.

BEADED TULIP FLOWER: ROW 2

• ► Step 1 – Pick 3A. Skip next bead and pass needle through next bead.
• ► Step 2- Repeat step 1 once.
• ► Step 3- Pick 5A. Skip next bead and pass needle through next bead. (The first bead on the ring.)

Row 2 completed. Step up by passing needle through the next 2 beads. (That is 2 beads from step 1 of this new row)

BEADED TULIP FLOWER: ROW 3

• ► Step 1- Pick 3A. Pass needle through middle of next 3 beads.
• ► Step 2- Pick 3A. Pass needle through 2^nd bead of the 5 beads.
• ► Step 3- Pick 5A. Skip next bead and pass needle through next bead.
• ► Step 4 – Pick 3A. Pass needle through the 1^ST bead of the row.

Row 3 completed. Step up by passing needle through the next 2 beads. (That is 2 beads from step 1 of this new row)

• ► Step 1- Pick 3A. Pass needle through middle of next 3 beads.
• ► Step 2- Pick 3A. Pass needle through 2^nd bead of the 5 beads.
• ► Step 3- Pick 5A. Skip next bead and pass needle through next bead.
• ► Step 4 – Pick 3A. Pass needle through middle of next 3 beads.
• ► Step 5 – Pick 3A. Pass through the 1^ST bead of the row.

Row 4 completed. Step up by passing needle through the next 2 beads. (That is 2 beads from step 1 of this new row)

• ► Step 1- Pick 3A. Pass needle through middle of next 3 beads.
• ► Step 2- Pick 3A. Pass needle through 2^nd bead of the 5beads.
• ► Step 3- Pick 5A. Skip next bead and pass needle through next bead.
• ► Step 4 – Pick 3A. Pass needle through middle of next 3 beads. Do this 2 times.

• ► Step 5- Pick 3A. Pass needle through middle of next 3 beads and four beads after it.( You are coming out from the middle of the next 3 beads).
• ► Step 6- Pick 3A. Pass needle through middle of next 3 beads.
• ► Step 5 – Pick 3A. Pass needle through the 1^ST bead of the row.

Step up by passing needle through the next 2 beads. (That is 2 beads from step 1 of this new row)

• ► Step 1- Pick 3A. Pass needle through middle of next 3 beads.
• ► Step 2- Pick 3A. Pass needle through 2^nd bead of the 5beads.

• ► Step 4 – Pick 3A. Skip next bead and pass needle through middle of next 3 beads.  Do this 3 times.
• ► Step 5- Pick 3A. Pass needle through middle of next 3 beads and 8 beads after it.
• ► Step 6- Pick 3A. Pass needle through middle of next 3 beads.
• ► Step 5 – Pick 3A. Pass needle through the 1^ST bead of the row.

Step up by passing needle through the next 2 beads. (That is 2 beads from step 1 of this new row)

ROW 11: BEADED TULIP FLOWER

• ► Step 1- Pick 3B. Pass needle through middle of next 3 beads.
• ► Step 2- Pick 3B. Pass needle through 2^nd bead of the 5beads.
• ► Step 3- Pick 5B. Skip next bead and pass needle through next bead.
• ► Step 4 – Pick 3A. Pass needle through middle of next 3 beads. Do this 3 times.
• ► Step 5- Pick 3B. Pass needle through middle of next 3 beads and 12 beads after it.
• ► Step 6- Pick 3B. Pass needle through middle of next 3 beads.
• ► Step 5 – Pick 3B. Pass needle through the 1^ST bead of the row.

• ► Step 4 – Pick 3C. Pass needle through middle of next 3 beads. Do this 3 times.
• ► Step 5- Pick 3C. Pass needle through middle of next 3 beads and 16 beads after it.
• ► Step 6- Pick 3C. Pass needle through middle of next 3 beads.
• ► Step 5 – Pick 3C. Pass needle through the 1^ST bead of the row.

Step up by passing needle through the next 2 beads. (That is 2 beads from step 1 of this new row)

BEADED TULIP FLOWER: ROW 13

• ► Step 1- Pick 3D. Pass needle through middle of next 3 beads.
• ► Step 2- Pick 3D. Pass needle through 2^nd bead of the 5beads.
• ► Step 3- Pick 5D. Push down. Pass needle through the 4^th bead you just added. (That is 2^nd on the fishing line now)
• ► Step 4- Pick 3D. Pass needle through the 4^Th bead of the 5 beads of previous row.
• ► Step 5 – Pick 3D. Pass needle through middle of next 3 beads. Do this 3 times.
• ► Step 6- Pick 3D. Pass needle through middle of next 3 beads and 20 beads after it.
• ► Step 7- Pick 3D. Pass needle through middle of next 3 beads.
• ► Step 8 – Pick 3D. Pass needle through the 1^ST bead of the row.

Pass needle through the body of the tulip flower and weave fishing line into your work before trimming off excess.

Row 13 completed.

This is the final row for the beading. Weave remaining fishing line into your work and trim off the excess.

COMMENT

This Beaded Tulip flower can be used as key ring , brooch and lots more. Watch out for my post soon on how you can make it to a brooch.
