BEADED FLOWER VASE : UJE NOBLE DESIGN BEADED IN PINK AND BLUE

MATERIALS/TOOLS- Acrylic plastic beads for flower vase – One and half packet of Size 18mm beads-   *Fishing line- Size 1mm or  0.80mm *Scissors or cutter

INTRODUCTION TO BEADED FLOWER VASE

Beaded flower vase are always in vogue. A well beaded flower vase and well arranged flowers are a beauty to behold. Beaded flower vase comes in various shapes and design. This tutorial is for my Uje Noble design. I have beaded in single colour but you can mix colours to bead your own unique design.

You will need to use both hands. The fishing line on your right hand will be regarded as RH while the left hand will be LH.

Note: You will need to be adding fishing line as your work progresses. Always tie with a neat knot and weave the rest into your work.

 STARTING THE BEADED FLOWER VASE

Cut a reasonable length of fishing line that you can comfortably work with.

Drop 6 beads on line crossing with the 6^th bead to form a ring.

BEADED FLOWER VASE TUTORIAL : ROW 1

• ► Step 1- On RH add 4 beads and cross the last bead with LH
• ► Step 2-Insert LH to next bead from the ring. On RH add 3 beads and cross the last bead with LH. Repeat this step three more times.
• ► Step 3- Insert LH to next 2 beads (1 from the ring and 1 from circle formed in step 1). On RH add 2 beads and cross the last bead with LH.
• 

Row one completed. [18 beads]( 6 circles of 5 beads each)

ROW 2 BEADED FLOWER VASE

• ► Step 1- On RH add 4 beads and cross the last bead with LH.
• ► Step 2- Insert LH to next bead. On RH add 3 beads and cross the last bead with LH.
• ► Step 3-Repeat step 2 ten more times.
• ► Step 4- Insert LH to next 2 beads. On RH add 2 bead and cross the last bead with LH.

Row 2 completed. [ 36 beads] ( 12 circles of 5 beads each)

Note:  At the end of this row, push in row 1. This is the bottom of the vase.

ROW 3 BEADED FLOWER VASE TUTORIAL

• ► Step 1- Insert LH to next bead. On RH add 4 beads and cross the last bead with LH
• ► Step 2- Insert LH to next 2 beads. On RH add 3 beads and cross the last bead with LH. Repeat this step ten more times.
• ► Step 3-Insert LH to next 3 beads. On RH add 2 beads and cross the last bead with LH.

Row 3 completed. [36 beads]. (12 circles of 6 beads each)

ROW 4 OF BEADED FLOWER VASE TUTORIAL

• ► Repeat all the steps in Row 3

Row 4 completed. [36 beads]. (12 circles of 6 beads each)

BEADED FLOWER VASE TUTORIAL: ROW 5

• ► Step 1- Insert LH to next bead. On RH add 4 beads and cross the last bead with LH
• ► Step 2- Insert LH to next 2 beads. On RH add 2 beads and cross the last bead with LH.
• ► Step 3- Insert LH to next 2 beads. On RH add 3 beads and cross the last bead with LH.
• ► Step 4- Repeat steps 2 and 3 four more times.
• ► Step 3- Insert LH to next 3 beads. On RH add 1 bead and cross the last bead with LH.

Row 5 completed. [ 30 beads ] ( 12 circles – 6 circles of 6 beads  each and 6 circles of 5 beads each )

ROW 6: UJE NOBLE DESIGN BEADED FLOWER VASE

• ► Step 1- Insert RH to next bead and LH to next bead. On RH add 4 beads and cross the last bead with LH
• ► Step 2- Insert LH to next 3 beads. On RH add 3 beads and cross the last bead with LH. Repeat this step four more times.
• ► Step 3-Insert LH to next 4 beads. On RH add 2 beads and cross the last bead with LH.

Row 6 completed. [ 18 beads ] ( 6 circles of 7 beads each )

ROW 7

• ► Step 1- Insert LH to next bead. On RH add 3 beads and cross the last bead with LH
• ► Step 2- Insert LH to next 2 beads. On RH add 2 beads and cross the last bead with LH. Repeat this step four more times.
• ► Step 3-Insert LH to next 3 beads. On RH add 1 bead and cross the last bead with LH.

Row 7 completed. [12 beads] ( 6 circles of 5 beads each )

ROW 8

• ► Step 1- On RH add 3 beads and cross the last bead with LH
• ► Step 2- Insert LH to next bead. On RH add 2 beads and cross the last bead with LH. Repeat this step four more times.
• ► Step 3-Insert LH to next 2 beads. On RH add 1 bead and cross the last bead with LH.

Row 8 completed. [12 beads] ( 6 clusters of 4 beads each )

ROW 9

• ► Repeat row 7 .

Row 9  completed. [ 12 beads]

ROW 10

• ► Repeat row 7

Row 10 completed. [ 12 beads]

 ROW 11 – BEADED FLOWER VASE

• ► Step 1- On RH add 4 beads and cross the last bead with LH
• ► Step 2- Insert LH to next bead. On RH add 3 beads and cross the last bead with LH. Repeat this step four more times.
• ► Step 3-Insert LH to next 2 beads. On RH add 2 beads and cross the last bead with LH.

Row 11 completed. [18 beads] ( 6 circles of 5 beads)

ROW 12

• ► Step 1- On RH add 4 beads and cross the last bead with LH
• ► Step 2- Insert LH to next bead. On RH add 3 beads and cross the last bead with LH.
• ► Step3- Repeat step 2 ten more times.
• ► Step 4-Insert LH to next 2 beads. On RH add 2 bead and cross the last bead with LH.

Row 12 completed. [36 beads] (12 circles of 5 beads each)

Note:

This is the final row. Weave some of the excess fishing line into your work and cut off the excess.

COMMENT

Using smaller size of beads will result in a smaller flower vase. You can experiment with different sizes, colours or types of beads. Observations or suggestions are welcomed!
